Fridge Fun

The holidays were just so busy.  Then the Boy started attended a 3 day a week play based preschool.  more on this later.
Anyways.  I wanted to share some other fun things we did for the holidays.  Inspired by Pinterest pins all involving the refrigerator.
First in November: we found a clipart acorn, printed out on cardstock.  Half were painted, they other half were colored.  The colored ones turned out better in the long run.  Each night for the month of November, the kids & I wrote out an acorn of things we are thankful for!  It was a great activity & way to practice gratitude along side of handwriting :) thankful acorns 2011~ home, turkmas, cars, dogs, crayons, God, crocs & shoes, Jesus, mom, Kia, coffee, pineapple, bananas, clothes, cats, dad, good food, jj, fruit, family, bed, Legos

In December our Thankful Acorns were replaced with fun magnet ornaments. The kids spent a lot of time re-arranging the ornaments. It was a big hit, especially since we were about to toss out the ornaments.
In January-February, we made personalized note pads. The family was encouraged to leave notes or drawing for each other.  These were made from small notepads,  cardstock & magnets.
