Catching up

The last 6 months have been a little crazy for our family.  First my DH took a job working from home.  Then he returned to his previous job of 10 years.  This caused a bit of a disruption in our "preschooling at home" schedule.  plus the month of December we did our Countdown To Christmas in place of schooling.
We also decided the Boy was in need of some socialization.  Even though we are not a homeschool family.  Since both of my kids will be in private school starting in Kindergarten. I have seen how homeschool families can provide socialization for their kids.  However the Boy needed more that I was able to provide or program.  We signed him up for a 3 day a week play based preschool.  Even though it's taken some time to get used to our new schedule things are working out just fine.  I try to run my errands or take care of big house projects while he is gone.
Since our purpose for preschool is simply to socialize, we are still working on learning at home.  The Boy LOVES to learn.  He has an insatiable appetite for learning.  All day long!

Shortly before DH decided to return to his job, we hired a contractor to build an office space in the basement.  Like most contractor projects this one went on for weeks.
Empty space where office is now built.
Bottom picture- how our playroom looked for the entirety of January & part of February.

We have been resorted to pulling printables from different blogs & sites.  Starting in late February to Mid March, I was really busy with the Chicagoland Family Pet Expo prep.  I do hope to bring back more hands on activities.
