Angus Lost- BFIAR

Our next book was Angus Lost- a very sweet BFIAR book by Majorie Flack (author of Ping (another FIAR)  We had a blast!  We are big dog lovers in this house & had a fun time talking about dogs.  In the story, a little walks away from home to find himself lost.  We intended to go to Petco to make new dogs tags (on the idea of loss prevention) but we were disappointed with the choices in the dog tag machine.

The Boy enjoyed making dog treats!
We also read a great book called Moon Dogs- a book with brightly colored &wacky dogs- we made some from play doh.

Playing with his dog play set,

I made this working at the center.  A laminated sheet with different dog breeds.  There are so many ways to use this as a learning tool.  Use with dry erase markers, playdoh or dog counters.
